It wasn't a bad day when the police chased me, I'm a thief, I'm used to it. It wasn't a bad day when my targets started shooting at me, I can kill, so it's only fair. It wasn't a bad day when I was trapped in a dead-end, I've gotten out of worse. It WAS a bad day when I realized my target today wasn't an object, but a person, so I've upgraded from thief to would-be kidnapper. Now, why was it a bad to me that I was a kidnapper now, when I stole and killed before? Easy, people fight, things don't. People need taking care of until the trade, things, you just need to be careful not to drop it. People make noise, things are quiet.
So, I'm trapped, blocked between a wall and people that want to, a) kill me or b) catch me, now neither is a good option at this point, I had taken the contract to get it, well, her. I could fight them, I'm okay with killing, but she would probably go hysterical with me covered in blood, I could do without that. So that leaves me of scaling this 15-foot brick wall. No big deal. A run against this wall, a jump to the other, and a couple seconds of treading air and I've got my hands on the top. Now to just pull myself up out of this shooting gallery. There done, halfway to my goal. Jumping from roof to roof is really easy, if there are not spikes in my target's home, castle. I mean really, the guy was just asking to be stolen from, who builds a freaking castle in the middle of a bustling trade center. Stuck-up prick. I'm scaling the wall to my target, she's hid away at the highest point, typical, couldn't make it easy for a guy to make his money. So, I open the window and pull myself in, and guess what, I find the owner of the freaking palace, holding a shotgun a breath away from to my face.
Now, really, the ONLY way this could go worse was if he pulled the trigger, shotgun IN face, as it was. Then, he looks me over and drops the gun and goes over to the door and pulls out his daughter, now I'm cautious, things have never gone up this fast. The girl walks up next to me, and well, I feel her up, not the first time, but the most obvious. She slams me into the wall with her legs, dang she's strong. Why feel her up when she had the face? I'm no stranger to body-double, heck, I'm the exact same as the holic prince, save manners, kind as he is, I couldn't stand playing pacifier to a bunch of rich babies, and I'm no way related so it wouldn't ever come to me anyway.
Pinned against the wall and her foot, her face a scarlet sun, she's yelling at her dad. Noticing now, she's dressed to run, I look puzzled towards the man, but questions are put on hold. Feet to stairs, lots of them and heavy. I slip from my hold and, grabbing her by the waist, jump out the window, greeted by the twin moons. Now we're high, really high, I mean 'clouds are equal to us' high, and I jumped with neither a rope nor a plan, just how I like it. Carily, mischievous as she was, is a good goddess, sure, she's had mood swings, but what woman hasn't, and she's looked out for me over the years. Today, she surprised me by having a carnivorous tiger hawk pick us up, I'm sure it has something to do with my screaming charge. Man, she didn't shut up, she's yelling at her dad then screaming as we fall, now she's trying to escape the talons. Better to fight out way later, then plummet to death now. The tiger hawk is taking us out of the city, towards the rising, burning ball that is our sun, so I name her Sola, I suspect she's a her, just cause Carily had a thing for other women.
