The sun creeps out from behind the snow-capped, onyx mountains. As the rays pierce through into a city, small to large, wood to metal, doors open as people rush through, some momentarily blinded by the bright rays. The people greet and pass each other in search of their own destination. Some in a rush and others in a calm stroll, everyone's breath adds to the fog engulfing the city. Children hide in the shadows, waiting for others to pass, while the adults crowd the largest of streets, looking for their exit. As everyone goes about their day, below the city, a creature stirs, opening one of its many eyes.
Surrounded almost completely by columns of varying widths, each growing slightly bigger every day, it shifts its massive body onto a single gigantic leg, cracking the ground. It shifts on to another leg, centering out, and then rises, shifting onto 4 other muscular legs. Its head carves a notch in the cieling, dislodging several types of gems and rare minerals. The glistening rain shatters against the vermillion floor, scattering in a blooming flower. It rumbles through a hole between the columns, smashing growing stalagmites and stalactites, into a tunnel. As each footfall vibrates the cavern walls, waking millions of bats and birds, it strides onto an open plain. The sun blazing overhead, it unfolds its giantic wings, a pair on its upper and lower back.
As that sun refracts off the wings, several people, dressed in ceremonial robes, enter from the opposing end. They climb the steps of a single temple, an oasis in a desert, carrying a casket of papers. The casket is set down on top of a ruby pedestal and is opened, the lid sliding to the ground. The beast strides to the pyramid, its jagged tails swaying. The people bow down on the ground as the beast's head levels with the top of the ancient structure. Its sclare darkening and a sapphire geams from its iris and pupil. Scrolls rise from the casket and unravel in the air. The scrolls hover feet above the casket and the beast's eyes glow.
